Last week, before my family arrived to stay with me I quickly cut and sewed the pieces together for a gift I plan on giving to the hostess of our Christmas in July. Now, I knew I wouldn't be able to sew any of this while the kids were around so I was getting a bit nervous that it would not be finished on time. This afternoon after I had my bi- annual breast screen x-ray, and did some shopping I decided to come straight home. I took my sewing machine from the cupboard and sat until I had quilted this little quilt, I had decided not to do too much, and am pleased with the way it has turned out. I have just finished the binding and am really happy. This is the perfect centre piece for either a round or square table. I have to thank Julie from The Crafty Quilter for sharing her pattern on Pinterest, you can find the pattern here I just hope my friend loves it. I'm thinking of sewing one for myself now.
Your topper turned out beautiful! I love the colors - it's so great to use up your stash for small projects like this one. Thanks for sharing!
